Samsung Galaxy Grand made official: 5-inch Display, 1.2Ghz Dual-Core, Android JellyBean Smartphone

South Korean electronics giant firm Samsung has just made the Galaxy Grand official. The device sports with a 5-inch vivid WVGA TFT LCD screen display. With its massive display, it provides an expansive viewing experience, presenting messaging, multimedia and Web content browsing in a brilliant color and clarity. While the smartphone features a large screen, the handset is still slim, ergonomic and comfortable to hold. Additionally, the device is also capable of true multitasking running multiple applications simultaneously and without switching screens, thanks to its Multi-Window feature.
The Galaxy Grand runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, Google’s latest buttery mobile operating system, and topped with Samsung’s TouchWiz skin. The device will be shipped with the usual features of Samsung’s Galaxy family, including S Voice, multi-window mode, Direct Call, AllShare Play, Popup VideoSmart Alert, Popup Play and all the Samsung Hubs.
Samsung Galaxy Grand will be, powered by a Dual-Core processing unit clocked at 1.2Ghz paired with 1GB worth of RAM to supports seamless true multitasking with multi-windows, faster mobile data, ultra-fast screen transitions and superior graphics for 3D gaming. In addition to that, the GALAXY Grand sports an 8-megapixel shooter with autofocus, LED flash, zero shutter-lag and ultra-quick camera start-up, and a 2-MP HD front-facing camera sensor, for high-definition video calling.
The Samsung Grand will be available in two versions – the Dual-SIM version with a model number GT-I9082 will be launched first and followed by the single SIM version (GT-I9080). The smartphone ships with 8GB of on-board storage with microSD, up to 64GB, and powers by a 2100 mAh Li-Ion battery.
