Samsung Galaxy S III vs. Galaxy Premier

South Korean consumer electronics giant company Samsung is gearing up for the launch of another Android-based cellular device that will apparently cater to the other sectors of the population across the globe. This time, Samsung Mobile is rumored to out a new Samsung Galaxy, which is a slightly downgraded version of the tech firm’s flagship smartphone – Samsung Galaxy S III.

A photograph of a rumored handset from Samsung appeared online just last week. The picture was tweeted from the @evleaks account on Twitter with the text-based message, “Samsung GT-I9260 (Galaxy Premier?) in the wild.”

The purported photo bears a resemblance to Samsung’s famous Galaxy S3 and it really looks like its his long-lost twin. As some of you, the new Galaxy Premier is believed to sit somewhere between the Galaxy Nexus and the Galaxy S III in terms of pricing and specs. Galaxy Premier has already passed through the FCC (Federal Communications Commission)  for a several days after it hit Samsung Ukraine releases a press statement.

The Galaxy S3 was released earlier this year and it blew away the smartphone market. The flagship mobile device of the Korean company jaw-dropped everyone with its supreme specs sheet such as massive screen display, fast processing chipset, 4G/LTE connectivity and NFC (Near Field Communication) support. Below is the comparison of the hardware specs and features of the two Android running devices.

Display - Samsung Galaxy S3 ships with a 4.8 inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 720×1280 pixel. While The Galaxy Premier is equipped with a 4.65 inch Super AMOLED screen display but it manage to retain its 720×1280 pixel resolution.

CPU - Samsung Galaxy Premier is powered by 1.5GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4470 CPU with 1GB worth of RAM, which is dumb to its brother’s quad-core Exynos chipset clocked at 1.4 GHz.

Ecosystem – Samsung Galaxy S3 was released with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. However, the most fluid, responsive, and intuitive user interface – Jelly Bean has already rolled out, and it is scheduled to arrive on S3 devices. Galaxy Premier, on the other hand, will be unveiled with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Storage – Samsung Galaxy Premier will be shipped with 8GB or 16GB storage variants with a microSD memory card slot. However, the Galaxy S3 reigns supreme with variety of storage variant choices such as: 8GB, 16GB and 32GB with microSD slot support expandable storage up to 32GB. And you’ll get up to 64GB storage.

NFC – Both devices will support Near Field Communication so exchanging files with S-Beam will be faster, and oh did I mentioned that it will also support wireless payment like Google Wallet?

Camera Sensor – Both Galaxy S III and Galaxy Premier is equipped with 8-megapixel rear-facing camera paired with 1.9MP front-facing shooter.

Battery – Both smartphones comes with a 2100mAh battery capacity.

Samsung Mobile has yet to confirm the existence of the Galaxy Premier and the photos did not include any certain details such as when the Galaxy Premier will be unveiled or whether it will be released by Google or Samsung or a carrier.
